Teaching Financial Skills That Transform Businesses
We believe every small business owner deserves to understand their finances. Our workshops make bookkeeping accessible, practical, and relevant to Ghanaian business realities.
Our Mission
Monteravino exists to equip small business owners and market traders with practical bookkeeping skills. We teach methods that work in real business environments, using tools people already have or can easily access.
Many small business owners in Ghana run successful operations but lack formal training in financial record-keeping. This gap creates challenges when trying to understand profitability, plan for growth, or access financing. Our workshops bridge this gap with practical, accessible training.
Our Approach
We teach bookkeeping the way small businesses actually operate. Our methods acknowledge that not everyone has computers, stable internet, or accounting software. We start with paper-based systems that work reliably, then introduce mobile apps as optional tools for those who want them.
All workshops are conducted in small groups where participants work with their own business data. This hands-on approach ensures everyone leaves with records they can actually use, not just theoretical knowledge.
What We Do Not Provide
We are educators, not accountants. We do not offer accounting services, prepare tax returns, or provide financial advice specific to individual businesses. Our role is to teach the foundational skills that help business owners maintain their own records and know when to engage professional accounting support.
Participants who need ongoing accounting services, tax filing assistance, or business financial advice should work with licensed accountants. We can help you understand what accountants do and when their services become necessary.
Why We Focus on Ghana
Ghanaian businesses have unique characteristics that generic bookkeeping courses often miss. Mobile money is central to many transactions. Cash businesses are common. Multilingual support matters. Our workshops address these realities directly.
By offering materials in both English and Twi, conducting training in multiple cities, and using examples from local businesses, we make bookkeeping education relevant and accessible to more Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
What Guides Our Work
Accessibility
Financial education should reach everyone. We design workshops that work for people with varying education levels, language backgrounds, and technology access.
Practicality
Every technique we teach must work in real business conditions. We focus on methods that participants can implement immediately with resources they already have.
Clarity
Bookkeeping concepts are explained in clear, simple language. We avoid unnecessary jargon and ensure everyone understands before moving forward.
Respect
Participants bring valuable business experience to our workshops. We build on their existing knowledge rather than treating bookkeeping as something completely foreign.
